“Hold on for just one more minute...”, I pleaded with myself as I grasped the gold cross hanging from a chain around my neck. That simple piece of jewelry gave me something to hold on to as I began wrestling my life back from the grip of addiction. That was in 1997 and “one more minute” turned into hours, days, weeks then years. Those days of desperation have been replaced with a life full of blessings. My name is Greg and my hope is that this pendent, Protection From Addiction, will help others hold on too.

The pendent is an angel (a spiritual being believed to protect and guide) holding a serpent (a symbol of evil) at bay, a reminder that hope is stronger than fear. Millions of people struggle with addictions to food, cigarettes, pornography, drugs, gambling and alcohol. Many lives are ruined but many are restored. Our power rests in holding on to that hope. By helping ourselves we help others. A portion of each purchase is donated to facilities that treat addiction of all types.

I used drugs for 25 years. Try as I might, I could not quit until I found the support of other addicts. With the help of others who knew what I have been through, I have stayed clean for 23 years. I have a beautiful life, many friends, a successful career and met my wife who is also a clean addict. Her book, All My Tomorrows, is offered here and is a reminder for those suffering that they are not alone. By reaching out to each other and holding on, we can do together what we cannot do alone.
